Danas Tooth

So Danas tooth fell out earlier tonight after it being loose for about 3 days. She is so excited to put it under her pillow and the tooth fairy come. I think the prospect of her growing up is what excites her most about it, not so much that the tooth fairy will leave her money (although she already has plans for her dollar..).
Alex was actually sad that he had no teeth falling out, but felt better after us explaining to him that when he gets a little older it will happen to him as well.
Dana tried to call Grandma Kjar, but it was already like 8PM and she was probably in bed, so she ended up calling Grandma Barley (not that Grandma Barley is second place). Bob picked up and must have said something referring to his fake teeth and Dana looking like him or something, because she says 'Papa, I only lost 1 tooth!!' -- this made us laugh.

Kids grow up so fast..

A Couple Vids

Here is Daddy and Alex jamming on some pots and pans! (IF ITS CUT OFF CLICK HERE)

My previous post included some pics of Alex and I at the park, but I neglected to say that we chased some geese.  Here is a clip of it in action.

Parade Day 2012

So, since Kim was gone Friday night and most of the day Saturday - and the fact that the kids (namely Dana) cried for her - we decided to have Dana spend time with her mother and go out shopping with her before the parade (which the Wicomicazis were in).
Alex and Daddy went to the park, which, when asked how he wanted to spend Daddy/son time, is what he chose.

This particular park was at the visitor center for Salisbury, and we went inside to go potty before we left to do the next item on his to-do list for the day (which involved going to the pet store).  Inside they gave him some bread to feed the fish and turtles.

Later on in the day it was time for the parade.  We piled in the truck, Mommy in her car.  Kim went to one of the girls' house and I believe they skated to the parade, while we parked about a mile away and walked to a nice spot at the beginning.

We waited about an hour and a half for Kims team to show, and they were last in the show!  Immediately after them was the truck with a large sign indicating drivers behind them to slow down as the parade is at its end.

All in all, it was a pretty fun day.  Alex and I bought the Iron Man game for the Wii, something we played quite a bit of after the parade.  Kim actually had practice as well and Dana was happy to go with her. After all, she really needed the time with Kim.
